The Credit Union Current Account (Welsh translation needed)
Community Banking has just come of age! Now you can have all the benefits of modern, electronic access to your money, while retaining the great advantages of local savings and loans.
Your wages, benefits and savings can all be paid into your current account, and then split into your various commitments. These could include payments to pay your rent or mortgage, loan repayments, fuel bills (with the added bonus that you could get cheaper tariffs than using a coin or card meter), council tax and so on. You can also make same day transfers from your savings account, free of charge!
Your card will allow you to make cash withdrawals at any LINK ATM (or hole in the wall) machine and, if you have a Visa debit card, you can use it for your telephone and internet shopping, or cash back from major shops displaying the Visa sign.
There is no authorised overdraft with your account; you can only withdraw or spend money already in there. But if you need a loan for an unexpected reason remember that low cost loans are available to our members

- Cash withdrawals can be made from most U.K. ATM machines, (please check to see if there is a charge)
- All cash withdrawals from U.K. Link ATM’s are free of charge.
- Cash withdrawals can also be made abroad from most ATM machines, (subject to a charge).
- If issued with a Visa Debit card members can not only make cash withdrawals at most ATM machines but can also use the card for telephone and internet shopping. Cash back can be obtained from a number of major stores.
- You can pay one off bills or set up a standing order or direct debit for more regular bill payments.
- You can make free same day transfers from your Credit Union Savings Account to your Credit Union Current Account.
