Summary of the costs to run a Credit Union Current Account: (Welsh translation needed)
The Credit Union incurred high set up costs and will continue to be charged by Link for use of their ATM machines and by Visa to use their debit card. To recover these charges there is small weekly charge. However, one transaction per week is free of charge, (please see below for our “Tariff of Charges” or ask our staff for details).
- The account does NOT have an authorised overdraft facility, and members are responsible for ensuring that they retain sufficient funds to meet any standing orders or direct debits.
- Accounts can go overdrawn if you have set up a standing order or a direct debit and there are insufficient funds in your account. We incur charges by stopping the payment and therefore have to pass these charges on to you.
- We will try to contact you before we return any standing order or direct debit. We will guarantee to levy the lowest bank charges, (please ask our staff for details).
- Continued use of an unauthorised overdraft will result in your account being closed.
