Important information about compensation arrangements.
We are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). The FSCS can pay compensation to depositors if a credit union is unable to meet its financial obligations. Most depositors – including most individuals and small businesses – are covered by the scheme.
In respect of deposits, an eligible depositor is entitled to claim up to £50,000.
For joint accounts each account holder is treated as having a claim in respect of their share so, for a joint account held by two eligible depositors, the maximum amount that could be claimed would be £50,000 each (making a total of £100,000).
The £50,000 limit relates to the combined amount in all the eligible depositor’s accounts with the credit union, including their share of any joint account, and not to each separate account.

Members can now access their account balances from a secure service now being offered from Llandudno Credit Union. From here you can see the last ten transactions for each of your credit union share and loan accounts, to login please click here.
Transactions on the credit union current account are not available via this service, at present.
Members Area - To access the member section, you need to have registered for and been issued with a PIN number. If you have not yet registered for your Personal Identification Number or "PIN" for short, please click here to be taken to our Secure Webpage and follow the simple instructions to gain access to your account information.
Security is clearly an important aspect of any service of this nature. Reset assured, this is a secure website and user name, PIN and password will be required to gain access to your information. You should ensure that the padlock symbol is displayed on your browser to confirm that you are on a secure connection.
Credit Union staff invited to No 10
Barry Roberts, Credit Union Manager and Dave Williams, Loans Officer were invited to meet with Gordon Brown at number 10 at the beginning of April. Along with 3 other UK credit unions and other voluntary groups they were taken on a tour of Number 10, followed by a buffet.
Barry and Dave were invited to meet directly with the Prime Minister, who wanted to discuss the credit union movement in North Wales. In particular he was keen to understand the expansion of services that Llandudno offers, such as the Credit Union Current Account.
The Credit Union Current Account
