"Compensation"
Important information about compensation arrangements.
We are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). The FSCS can pay compensation to depositors if a credit union is unable to meet its financial obligations. Most depositors – including most individuals and small businesses – are covered by the scheme.
In respect of deposits, an eligible depositor is entitled to claim up to £50,000.
For joint accounts each account holder is treated as having a claim in respect of their share so, for a joint account held by two eligible depositors, the maximum amount that could be claimed would be £50,000 each (making a total of £100,000).
The £50,000 limit relates to the combined amount in all the eligible depositor’s accounts with the credit union, including their share of any joint account, and not to each separate account.

North Wales Credit Union Merger took place during January 2011 and we are in the process of consolidating members data from across North Wales, we hope to keep to an absolute minimum, any disruption to our service.

One of the new services will be a complete revamp of this website and we are working towards a late spring early summer launch, untill then unfortunately the Balance Enquiry service will be on hold.
Members will be able to access their account balances from a secure service, from here you will see the last ten transactions for each of your credit union share and loan accounts.
Credit Union staff invited to No 10
Barry Roberts, Credit Union Manager and Dave Williams, Loans Officer were invited to meet with Gordon Brown at number 10 at the beginning of April. Along with 3 other UK credit unions and other voluntary groups they were taken on a tour of Number 10, followed by a buffet.
Barry and Dave were invited to meet directly with the Prime Minister, who wanted to discuss the credit union movement in North Wales. In particular he was keen to understand the expansion of services that Llandudno offers, such as the Credit Union Current Account.
The Credit Union Current Account
